When we first stepped into this downtown Montreal condo, we were greeted not just by our clients, but by their daughter, grandchildren, and son-in-law. From that first consultation, it was clear: this wasn’t just a renovation – it was about creating a space that would serve as a true family hub.
Our clients live hours away on a reserve, but with their children and grandchildren living and studying in Montreal, they wanted a pied-à-terre that would welcome everyone. The condo had to be flexible, comfortable, and kid-friendly – an extension of their family life.

Designing for Family Gatherings
Storage wasn’t the top priority, but functionality was. We introduced clever built-ins that made unpacking for extended stays seamless without overwhelming the space. Bespoke storage now lives in the dining room, entryway, hallways, and bedrooms, giving every visitor a place to land.
In the dining room, we created a bar and beverage center complete with a hidden fridge drawer and freezer – perfect for entertaining both adults and little ones.

Natural Materials, Urban Setting
Our clients’ primary home is surrounded by vast natural landscapes, so we wanted their city condo to echo that connection. We layered in natural marbles, unique hardware, and soft, organic shades of white and wood. The herringbone white oak flooring adds timeless elegance, while a skylight floods the kitchen with natural light – brightening the lower-than-average ceilings and bringing a sense of openness to the space.

A Space That Lives Up to Its Name
Every choice was made with family in mind – from flexible layouts to durable finishes, from elegant details to playful functionality. The Family Hub is more than a pied-à-terre. It’s a gathering place, a city retreat, and a home that reflects the importance of connection across generations.
Home is where everyone gathers. If you’re dreaming of a space that connects generations and stories, our team would love to bring that vision to life. Contact us today to schedule a complimentary Discovery Call to kickoff your project.
