Curated Casa Project

Hibou Projects

Designed around a life well collected.

Set on a lush property in Baie-D’Urfé, Curated Casa already had something we love walking into: exceptional interior architecture and a strong sense of place. Our mandate wasn’t to reinvent the home, but to build on what was already there through furnishings, custom pieces and thoughtful layers of character.

From day one, we knew the clients’ incredible art collection would take center stage. Collected over years of travel, each piece brought its own colour, story and personality to the home. Rather than designing around a predetermined palette, we allowed the artwork to lead, selecting furnishings that would complement it without competing for attention.

The furniture throughout was carefully selected with an emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and scale. Bespoke pieces allowed us to respond specifically to the proportions of each room, creating spaces that feel substantial and luxurious while remaining quiet enough to let the art shine.

Custom design played an important role in giving the home its own identity. The dining room unit was designed specifically for the space, while the custom bed, rugs and built-ins throughout allowed us to achieve the scale and level of refinement the architecture called for.

The result is a home that feels layered rather than decorated. Luxurious but not showy. Personal without feeling overly styled.

Most importantly, it feels like a reflection of the people who live there and the pieces, places and stories they’ve collected along the way.
